Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging is a water-based, non-reactive pre-treatment designed to give new interior wood the character and depth of naturally aged timber.
Available in 10 colours, the range includes authentic, smoked and fumed effects. Colours can also be blended to create a customised finish suited to the timber and interior design.

Rubio Monocoat (RMC) are global industry leaders in supplying all-natural oils, which have been certified by the EU as 0% VOC (completely non-toxic), and Toy Safe Certified, unlike many other solvent based stains/finishes in the marketplace. This means RMC can be used safely on all food surfaces.
Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging is a pre-treatment and does not protect the wood on its own. It must always be sealed with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C.

Within its palette of 10 standard shades, there are dedicated options for the smoked appearance, namely Smoke Light (lighter smoked tone) and Smoke Intense (darker smoked tone). These create a deep, subtly accented coloration reminiscent of smoke aging.
