Exciting Opportunity: Sales Representative – Cape Town
We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our Cape Town team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving measurable growth in a competitive market.
About the Role:
As a Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in both retaining existing clients and developing new business. You’ll be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and uncovering opportunities that drive our success in the region.
Your mission? To identify new market opportunities, build meaningful customer relationships, and ensure every client’s needs are met with efficiency and excellence.
Main Duties / Key Accountabilities:
- Achieve individual sales targets through strong order management and consistent billing performance.
- Manage your sales pipeline, develop accurate forecasts, and drive overall sales performance.
- Develop new client relationships and expand our presence in the Cape Town market.
- Present and sell our defined product and solution sets to new and existing customers.
- Build detailed client account plans with clear growth objectives.
- Analyse business challenges and provide smart, data-driven solutions.
- Take full ownership of sales-related issues and ensure swift resolution.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, both internally and externally.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and sustainability developments in the flooring sector.
- Represent the company at trade shows, CPD events, and networking functions.
- Use CRM tools effectively to manage reporting and administration.
What You Bring to the Role:
- 3–5 years’ sales experience (experience in flooring, construction, or building materials is advantageous).
- A proven track record of meeting sales goals and growing market share.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities with a client-focused mindset.
- Strong business acumen and an eye for identifying growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and digital sales tools.
- The ability to prepare professional proposals and deliver engaging presentations.
- Organisational strength and the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
- A self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven attitude.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
