The Dulux website states: 2020 is the start of a new decade. It’s a fresh start. A new dawn. In an increasingly hectic and digital world, there is a desire for meaning and kindness. So, inspired by the colours of the morning sky, our colour experts have created an inspiring new shade, Tranquil Dawn.
Dulux has presented the eager interior design community with four ways with Tranquil Dawn, 4 inspiring palettes with different moods to suit a range of homes and personalities.
1 . a Home for Care
This palette exhibits the softer side of Tranquil Dawn with a mix of gentle neutrals that come from the same hazy world. The colours lend a sense of calm to your environment and are best matched with pale wood, plants and botanicals. This palette can work with a Finfloor pre-finished colour such as Cederberg or Outeniqua.
1 . a Home for Play
This vibrant palette brings a strong sense of summer into the mix, enriched with Living Coral and Sulphur-yellow which work to ignite a space. Geometric patterns work well with a combination of high-gloss and natural textures. Consider a warm-coloured vinyl flooring like Finfloor’s SPC in Citrine as a basis for this look.

Meaningful colours add an air of contemplation and mindfulness to an environment. The natural rootedness of this palette works well with natural engineered wood, leathers and linen juxtaposed with contemporary concrete. Consider laying your flooring in a unique herringbone pattern to compliment and enhance the palette.
