Flooring Technical & Training Specialist

FINfloor SA is looking for an experienced and hands-on Flooring Technical & Training Specialist to join our team.
This role suits a seasoned professional who thrives in both technical problem-solving and training environments.
Location: Candidates may be based in either Cape Town or Gauteng. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout South Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and conduct site inspections across South Africa and the SADC region as required
- Conduct on-site assessments and provide technical reports and solutions
- Deliver training to installers, retail partners, and internal teams
- Ensure correct installation practices aligned with FINfloor standards
- Act as a technical support specialist across assigned regions
- Support sales teams with technical guidance on projects
- Drive product knowledge transfer and upskilling initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in the flooring industry
- Strong knowledge of laminate, SPC/LVT vinyl, and engineered wood
- Experience with floor preparation, installation methods, and inspections
- Ability to diagnose installation failures and provide practical solutions
- Training or mentoring experience
- Valid driver's licence
- Own reliable vehicle (essential)
- Based in Cape Town or Gauteng
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally throughout South Africa and internationally within the SADC region as required
